Bruce Godfrey

Bruce Godfrey

Since moving to Cambridge in the mid 1980s he has enjoyed a very varied musical diet consisting of classical, avant garde, folk, shows and jazz.

He is a founder member of the Sensky Trio, the Palm Tree-O (a piano trio performing Salon and ‘tea room’ music), Cambridge Circus (a contemporary music group)
and Light and Bitter (a violin and guitar jazz duo).  Bruce used to play regularly with several of the orchestras in Cambridge, notably the Sinfonia of Cambridge, the Cambridge Orchestra and K239.  With K239 he performed as soloist on a couple of occasions.

These days he is more often to be found playing for dances with the Ivel Valley Band (a Bedfordshire-based barn dance band) or performing major great works
from the chamber repertoire.
